Sbarro Eight Concept

The Eight Concept was developed in just two months by the students of the Espera Sbarro Design School, based in Montbéliard, France, in partnership with the departments of Ergonomie Design and Ingénierie Mécanique at the UTBM (Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard).The design adopts an essential approach and uses surfaces defined by sharp, angular lines that underline the underlying drivetrain, leaving the engine and suspension partially exposed. The bold hot rod is powered by a Maserati-derived V8 engine developing 368 hp, matched to a six-speed automatic transmission. The composite body was made using natural fibers (fiberglass and flax fiber) and the total weight is 1,000 kg.
